		<description>Good point. I got so involved in her excellent observation about including all seniors (rich as well as poor) that I didn't even notice the whole "free" thing. It's my belief that a similar misconception is behind the popularity of "universal" health care. A lot of people seem to think that will be "free" as well.</description>

		<description>Where did you get the idea that Medicare is free? First, as employees we pay a Medicare tax. Next, seniors who have Medicare pay a monthly premium that is taken out of their Social Security checks. Then there are the deductibles and the copayments. It is far from free.</description>
