Giuliani Hammers Democrats on Health Care

The only presidential candidate, on either side, who speaks with candor on health care is Rudy Giuliani. Via FullosseousFlap’s Dental Blog, Guiliani stated the obvious about the Democrat hopefuls who debated last night:

Giuliani said Democratic calls for mandatory universal health care would only exacerbate the cost of care by putting the system in the hands of bureaucrats …”They’re moving toward socialized medicine so fast, it’ll make your head spin.”

The former New York mayor, on the other hand, advocates private sector solutions:

[Giuliani said] that private competition and limits on malpractice lawsuits could help bring down the cost of care. “When we want to cover poor people, as we should, we give them vouchers.?

In general, I’m not much more enthusiastic about Republican “solutions? for health care than for the Democrat variety. But at least Giuliani seems to understand that more government isn’t the answer.

You’re 100% wrong on all counts. Giuliani is lying first of all. He doesn’t care about people or their health care. He only cares about the money he’s getting from the corrupt health insurance industry.

Other candidates are much more truthful about health care – in particular Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel.

Socialized health care is the right answer. Look at the success of all the other countries who are using it. We rank #37 in the world in health care. The 36 countries ahead of us? All socialized. Hmm.. maybe they are on to something?

And as far as costing more money. Guess what? All 36 of those countries pay FAR LESS per person than we do.

Stop being manipulated by the propaganda of the health insurance industry. Our system is broke. Free market is NOT the answer to everything. Would you like a free market fire department that only puts out the fires of those who have “fire insurance” ? I would hope you could see the lunacy of such an idea. Guess what, that’s the EXACT lunacy we have right now with our health care system.

18,000 people DIE every year because they dont have health insurance. Do you get it? Do you GET it? This is serious. No more of this nonsense. Stop believing the lies. WAKE UP.

Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel are both nutburgers. The chances of either making any serious contribution to reform are slim and none.
