Mandatory Health Coverage Isn’t Magic

Although you’d think it would be obvious to the meanest intelligence, the NYT is surprised that simply commanding everyone to get insurance coverage doesn’t solve the problems besetting American health care:

[Massachusetts] is discovering that making health insurance mandatory is easier said than done. It has spent the past year dealing with questions about how much basic coverage people need, and how much they can be expected to pay.

You mean mandatory health care coverage doesn’t have magical powers? Who knew?

because people hope for something better and they would like it to change soon doesn’t make it magical.. nice headline, obviously you’re trying to flood the internet with skepticism. Ugh.. you Fear monger. Hey, do they teach that strategy in graduate school? How to use fear to manipulate people? Or did your conservative mommy and daddy teach you that?
