Today, a group of California legislators provided Michael Moore with yet another venue in which to tell his furious tale. Meanwhile, Michael Cannon links to a Toronto Star piece in which Moore receives considerably less friendly treatment by Canadian journalists:

We Canucks were taking issue with the large liberties Sicko takes with the facts … Sicko makes it seem as if Canada’s socialized medicine is flawless and that Canadians are satisfied with the status quo.

Some of the reporters were particularly rankled at Moore’s disingenuous treatment of Canada’s well-known wait time problem:

Other Canadian journalists spoke of the long wait times Canadians face for health care, much longer than the few minutes Moore suggests in Sicko.

Would that that this particular idiot were “heard no more” after “his hour upon the stage.”
