SCHIP and the Infantilization of America

David Hogberg and Paul Gessing reiterate, in the American Spectator, what should by now be obvious to the meanest intelligence: SCHIP is “socialized medicine on the installment plan.”

Strategically, it would seem that the Democrats are trying to achieve universal, government-run health insurance by making more and more Americans “children.”

This succinctly worded passage not only captures the intent of expanded SCHIP funding, it also provides a glimpse at how “we the people” are thought of by statist ideologues like Hillary Clinton.

These people think of themselves as parents and the American public as recalcitrant children. And, make no mistake about it: they plan to give us a sharp rap across the knuckles.
