STOSSEL BUSTS MOORE ON CUBAN HEALTH CARE

It looks like ABC is the only representative of the establishment media with the testículos to expose Michael Moore as a fraud and to tell the truth about Cuban health care.

In a 20/20 segment, John Stossel debunks the absurd claims made by the porcine provocateur about Castrocare. For example, on Moore’s claim that the CIA verifies his life expectancy numbers:

When 20/20 contacted the CIA, officials said “We don’t say … that Cubans live longer than Americans.” In fact, the CIA’s World Fact Book says Americans live a year longer.

Stossel also deconstructs Moore’s claims about Cuba’s infant mortality rate. SiCKO parrots U.N. data that few objective observers take seriously:

The United Nations simply reports whatever the government in Cuba reports, so that we have no objective way to know what the real statistics are.

Predictably, Moore responds to Stossel’s questions with a tactic to which the advocates of socialized medicine often resort–he tries to change the subject:

Let’s stick to Canada and Britain and this stuff because I think these are legitimate arguments that are made against the film …

All of which begs (once again) the following question: If their position has substance, why do the advocates of government-run health care depend so heavily on evasion and outright prevarication?
