The Gallup organization has just released a poll that suggests Americans are not thrilled with the performance of Congress. Here’s Gallup’s description of the survey:
The latest Gallup Panel survey, conducted Oct. 25-28, 2007, asked Americans to say whether they are “pleased,” “neutral,” “disappointed,” or “angry” about the way the Democrats in Congress have been dealing with seven major issues confronting the nation.
Not surprisingly, one of the “seven major issues confronting the nation” was health care. Here’s how the performance of our congressional majority was rated by the public on that issue:
PLEASED: 12%
NEUTRAL: 28%
DISAPPOINTED: 43%
ANGRY: 17%
I guess Pelosi, Reid & Company will need to more than demagogue SCHIP to get decent marks from the voters on health care.

Actually, you can read the poll in another way- that people are angry with Congress for not being more radical. The only way you can’t read it is support for your side.
