HILLARY’S LATEST HEALTH CARE WHOPPER

Well, she’s been at it again. The NYT reveals that Hillary has been peddling another of her trademark whoppers:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.

Like the Tuzla tale, however, this horror story turns out to be work of fiction:

But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.

In other words, Hillary has been fudging every important detail of the story. And lest anyone kid themselves into believing that this lie or the Tuzla tale are anomalies  brought about by the stress of a campaign, consider this.

Like most liberals, Hillary became exceedingly intellectually lazy after 17 years of the fawning media covering up for this (and countless other) manipulative whoppers.

Amazingly, Hillary stll does not understand that this very same mainstream media has chosen Obama over her, and will (for the first time) call her out fore each and every lie.

Hillary has finally now pulled this health care lie from her stump speech.

Excellent post. Hillary is a cure looking for a disease. Just what amount of hubris must one individual acquire to convince themselves that despite the complexity of medicine and powerful intellects that practice medicine, an attorney who married well knows what is best for everyone else.

Repeating an unverified story to the nation for a political end is no better than lying. Heck, I might respect a liar more in this case because at least the liar has put forth the effort to attempt to verify their yarn.

Something is very, very strange about the way the Clintons are handling this campaign. They’re never this sloppy. I guess they’re just not hungry anymore.

The story was told in good faith and it seems from what I read that this woman was failed by the health care system.

The logic of this escapes me - although I suppose you’re a fan of GW Bush who really did lie to you about Iraq. .

It’s telling that you call not checking facts “good faith”. This is the presidential election, not a high school term paper where they don’t care if you have a works cited section or not.

Do you know something about the specifics of the case, where the health care system failed her? Or are you claiming that since she died, the system MUST have failed her? Are you aware of any statistic regarding post-natal mortaility in the US versus countries with universal healthcare or single payer systems? Or is it your contention that people should just not die?

Why do you you qualify your conclusions about the story (with “it seems…”) but you do not qualify your conclusions about Mrs. Clintons actions (Wherein you are much more definitive about her “good faith”)? Or does it just “seem” like she told the story in good faith? Perhaps Goerge W Bush was telling us about WMD in good faith?

The Hillary supporters are still drinking that delicious Jonestown Kool Aid. They haven’t got their marching orders that Hillary lies are to now (finally) to be confronted. Obama is the new Annointed One.

    Get with the program!
