While Americans struggle to find the solution to illegal immigration, our cousins across the pond have found the answer—-government-run health care. Britain’s chief immigration official relates the following:
We have recently noticed people trying to leave the country … they are fed up with the English weather and their treatment on the NHS.
And what specifically did these undocumented aliens dislike about Britain’s socialized medical system?
They complained they could not get appointments to see a doctor or a dentist.
So, maybe the advocates of government-run health care have stumbled upon a cure for one of our most intractible problems. If we want to stem the tide of illlegals flooding over our borders, all we have to do is enact socialized medicine.

I think the global warming heatwave is driving you mad, David. The story is about illegal immigrants - they are not entitled to free NHS healthcare. That so many do try and get free care here is rather the opposite of the point you think you’re making. As for the English weather, it’s been 81 degrees here in London this afternoon.
