A couple of weeks ago, Barack Obama told an audience that he had campaigned in 57 states. Isolated gaffe? Nope. On Friday he blamed George W. Bush for the rise to power of Hugo Chavez:
Since the Bush Administration launched a misguided war in Iraq, its policy in the Americas has been negligent toward our friends, ineffective with our adversaries, disinterested in the challenges that matter in peoples’ lives, and incapable of advancing our interests in the region … No wonder, then, that demagogues like Hugo Chavez have stepped into this vacuum.
One minor problem with this line of reasoning: Chavez came to power during the Clinton presidency, two years before Bush was elected. This gaffe was just one in a long series of ignorant assertions by Obama.
Which begs the following question: What would have happened if John McCain had said so many stupid things? I think we know the answer to that, do we not?
The establishment “news” media would have made it story number one, and they would be dovetailing it with endless speculation about whether McCain is too old to be President.

I am sorry, but Obama is a smooth talking, slimy empty suit. He shows much, much more in the way of potential Alzheimer level gaffes than McCain, but the MSM is in complete cover-up mode.
