Second, these so-called smears are not being plastered all over the respectable media, but the McCain team are doing their best to get them in there by drawing attention to them. It's a classic tactic to gain sympathy for their core vote, but is a desperate attempt to make something out of a very poor choice of running mate. You are falling for it, David.
