The market can't override the government price controls set by Medicare. In many US cities it costs more to get a plumber or HVAC guy to come out than it does to see a PCP. When you couple that with private MD school graduate debt approaching 300k it becomes a really big mess. The old joke was: "What do you call a guy who graduated last in his medical school class?
