Well, it would appear that the Alaska Supreme Court will now have to do the job that Lefty judge Peter A. Michalski refused to do in the phony troopergate scandal:

The court accepted an emergency appeal late Friday filed by six Alaska lawmakers who claim the investigation is being manipulated to hurt Palin before Election Day on Nov. 4.

This wouldn’t be necessary but for the fact that Judge Michalski is a judicial hack in the tradition of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Although it’s obviously a politically motivated witch hunt, Michalski refused to stop it:

Superior Court Judge Peter Michalski said the Legislature has the ability to investigate the circumstances surrounding the firing of a public officer the lawmakers had confirmed.

The last time we heard from this guy was when he created a legal pig’s breakfast by negating an Alaska law banning same-sex marriage. His pretext was a bilious mixture of false analogy and judicial overreach:

In some parts of our nation mere acceptance of the familiar would have left segregation in place … this court cannot defer to the legislature or familiar notions when addressing this issue.

Essentially, he ordered the state to demonstrate why heterosexuals should be given special marriage rights. The voters of Alaska had to fix that mess by passing the Alaska Marriage Amendment.

And speaking of Lefty activists, the PR department of Obama’s campaign (i.e. AP) has accused Sarah Palin of racism for having the audacity to mention Obama’s longtime relationship with William Ayers. I guess these people get race cards along with their Press passes.

UPDATE II:

Well, I guess the people at AP are really going to be angry now. According to Kim Priestap, Palin was introduced at a rally by Shelly Mandel, LA’s NOW President. And it gets better. Mandel described Palin as follows: “America, this is what a feminist looks like.” Sweet!
