They routinely ignore huge whoppers while playing CYA with minor goofs. The bit about small businesses is a good example. Factcheck just cut-and-pasted its comment on that issue from Obama's web site, a dubious method of "research." If Factcheck were really interested in "facts" they would have jumped on the small business stats he gave in the debate (pure fiction). Factcheck isn’t to be taken seriously where Obama is concerned. As for McCain, in the latest debate Factcheck says he even lied about his own plan: 'McCain misstated his own health care plan, saying he’d give a $5,000 tax credit to “every American” His plan actually would provide only $2,500 per individual, or $5,000 for couples and families. He also misstated Obama’s health care plan, claiming it would levy fines on “small businesses” that fail to provide health insurance.
