Harry Truman's approval ratings were about equal to Bush's and he is now very highly regarded by historians. Ronald Reagan was consistently reviled by the media and other elites, yet now he is ranked (even by Lefty historians) as one of the 10 best.

And your country offers a classic example of a truly great statesman who was generally reviled during his long political career. Churchhill saved your country from extinction and English voters dumped him and his party just as soon as their butts were safe.</description>
