The advocates of government-run health care are always telling us that the public supports their cause, but a recent Rasmussen survey finds the following:
Nearly half of U.S. voters (46%) say the quality of health care will decrease if the government oversees a national health plan.
And a a plurality also realizes that government has no magical cure for healthcare inflation:
Forty percent (40%) of voters also say the cost of health insurance will increase with government oversight of a national plan.
There are, of course, people who think quality will go up and cost will go down under government-run health care:
Twenty-four percent (24%) say the quality of health care in America will increase … 30% think the cost will go down.
Such people should be required by law to take a couple of courses in basic economics. And they should avoid voting if possible.
