Sanjay Gupta has “decided” not to take the Surgeon General job after all. No reason was given for his change of heart, but my guess is that he came to his “decision” after the White House got inundated with nutroot hate mail pursuant to his famous CNN interview with Michael Moore.
You will recall that Gupta had the temerity to question the veracity of the porcine provocateur. He accurately pointed out that the adipose auteur had “fudged the facts” in his schlockumentary, SiCKO, and this resulted in predictable hysterics from the wackosphere.
The usual suspects jumped on a single transcription error (the CNN script read $25 instead of $251) to claim Gupta had “lied” and that Moore’s ridiculous claims about the Cuban health care system were vindicated. In reality, Gupta’s report was far more accurate than CNN’s normal reporting.
For my money, Gupta was a goofy choice for Surgeon General, even by Obama standards. But I kinda like the good doctor’s pluck. And he, unlike most of the President’s appointees, is an honest man. In the end, I guess, that made Gupta a poor choice for the Obama adminstration.

I like the part where you call Michael Moore a fatty.
