OBAMA HYPOCRISY ON TAXING HEALTH BENEFITS

During last year’s presidential campaign, Barack Obama repeatedly expressed shock and dismay over John McCain’s alleged intention to tax health care benefits. This, Obama told us in one Presidential debate, was the last word in Republican perfidy:

Senator McCain … says that he’s going to give you a $5,000 tax credit. What he doesn’t tell you is that he is going to tax your employer-based health care benefits for the first time ever.

Well, that was then and this is now. It turns out that those lying dirtbags the President and his advisors are now ”open to taxing health benefits.” The Gray Lady reports the following:

The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits.

To truly appreciate the level of hypocrisy we’re dealing with here, you have to watch the following ad that our new President ran during the last weeks of the campaign:

And how will this fit in with that famous promise not to tax anyone making less than $250K? Presumably, those making less won’t need to worry, right?  On the other hand, maybe Michelle Malkin’s question is more percipient:

What isn’t the Administration Open to Taxing?

I’m thinking that’s a pretty short list. It cannot, however, be as short as the list of things that our new President didn’t lie about during the recent presidential campaign.
