According to a CNN poll, the vast majority of Americans remain happy with their health care:
More than eight in 10 Americans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Thursday said they’re satisfied with the quality of health care they receive.
And it would appear that three-quarters of our fellow citizens are happy with their health insurance as well:
Nearly three out of four said they’re happy with their overall health care coverage.
Incredibly, more than half of Americans are actually happy with the cost of their personal care:
Satisfaction drops to 52 percent when it comes to the amount people pay for their health care.
Unsatisfied by these results, the pollster hectored the hapless respondents for a verdict on the aggregate cost of U.S. health care:
Three out of four are dissatisfied with the total cost of health care in the United States.
The survey gives no figure concerning how many of these people actually have any idea what the “total cost of health care” might be. But this poll begs a more important question:
If Americans are happy with everything about the system but its cost, how can it make sense to impose a government ”solution” virtually guaranteed to exacerbate health care inflation?
Just asking.
