Since President Oblarney and his congressional accomplices started talking about including a “public option” in their health care “reform” package, many free market advocates have warned that this would lead to a government-run single-payer system. For anyone still naive enough to doubt that, US Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) let the cat out of the bag:
Rep. Jan Schakowsky, co-sponsor of HR-676 answered criticisms from single-payer advocates. She said the public option is not a compromise, but a strategic step toward the single-payer system and the elimination of the private insurance industry.
This is the real agenda, folks. As Rep. Schakowsky puts it in that chainsaw voice, “this is not a principled fight.” They are going to give you government-run health care whether you want it or not.

It seems that the national plan is inevitable. Very few people appear to see the connection between nationalized health records push and nationalized health care. One leads to the other. It’s about control.
