One of the justifications for what the President hilariously calls “reform” is his claim that it will get health care inflation under control. A new Gallup poll suggests the public isn’t buying it:
It appears to be a commonly held belief that healthcare reform will increase costs for the country as a whole and for the respondents personally, rather than decreasing these costs.
Only 30% of the respondents are dumb enough to believe that Obamacare will reduce costs for the country as a whole. And only 18% believe it will decrease costs for them personally.
And Gallup is not alone in detecting such skepticism. A Rasmussen poll finds similar results. It appears that Lincoln was right about the difficulty of fooling all the people (all the time).
