In their desperation to discredit anyone objecting to Obamacare, the White House, congressional Democrats and the “news” media have called us “right-wing extremists,” “mobsters” and “insurance company shills.”
So, I suppose it was inevitable that we would also be accused of racism. This particular talking point apparently began hitting the bird cage liners, internet and air waves on Thursday.
Helping to spread this latest calumny was Democrat speechwriter cum talkshow host, Chris Matthews, who prompted Cynthia Tucker of the AJC to say the following about the townhall protesters:
I’m just guessing. This is just off the cuff. I think 45 to 65% of the people who appear at these groups are people who will never be comfortable with the idea of a black president.
I’m just guessing. This is just of the cuff, but it’s hard to escape the conclusion that Cynthia Tucker is cheap a race-baiter. How, I wonder, would she fit Kenneth Gladney into her theory?
Ken Gladney is an African-American conservative who was brutally beaten by the President’s SEIU allies at a recent townhall meeting held by Democrat Russ Carnahan.
You would think Ms. Tucker would be disturbed by this violent suppression of free expression. I mean, it is eerily reminiscent of the days when people were beaten for simply wanting to vote.
But Tucker’s paper, like all of the establishment “news” media, has been silent as the tomb on the Gladney incident. Instead, we get tired and tendentious DNC talking points.
Fortunately, the web is there for people wanting factual information about what’s going on in the real world. Hot Air has the latest on the tawdry tale of the Ken Gladney beating.
UPDATE:
MSNBC has joined the rest of the establishment media in applying the “racist” label to any and all critics of the Obama administration. It would appear that the word “socialist” is one of those dreaded “code words.” Is it me, or is the list of code words growing exponentially? Gateway Pundit has the video.
