YES WEE-WEE CAN … DEFEAT OBAMACARE

The President’s all wee-weed up comment wasn’t merely weird and funny. It was also significant.  He’s obviously trying to convey the impression that all the August commotion over health reform shouldn’t be taken very seriously:

There’s something about August going into September where everyone in Washington gets all ‘wee-weed’ up.

But it’s more than that, and he knows it. The fact is that health care “reform” has seriously damaged Obama and his congressional accomplices. The Politico reports the following:

Charlie Cook, one of the best political handicappers in the business, sent out a special update to Cook Political Report subscribers Thursday that should send shivers down Democratic spines … Reviewing recent polling and the 2010 election landscape, Cook can envision a scenario in which Democratic House losses could exceed 20 seats.

And it gets worse. The President’s approval ratings, according to Zogby, are in a free fall:

Asked whether they approve or disapprove of the president’s job performance, just 45.3 percent of likely voters say they approve. That compares with 50.5 percent who disapprove of the job Obama is doing.

And the all-important independents are even less happy with Obama:

Just 37.5 percent of self-identified independents say they approve of how Obama is handling the presidency. That compares with 59.2 percent of independents who disapprove.

The significance of these portents should be obvious. “The One” is on the run and it is no time let up.  If the Blue Dogs fear for their seats, Obamacare is a goner. As it is phrased over at Hot Air:

Any righty blogger with any kind of audience should be trumpeting Obama’s declining numbers. The lower they go, the more pressure there is on Blue Dogs to kill the bill. Make sure they know it.

The Cook analysis, combined with the Zogby numbers, spells doom for Obamacare if the good guys don’t become complacent. This is actually winnable, folks.

If we don’t need a public option for healthcare, then tell me this -

Why does a friend of mine who works full time but his employer does not provide health care benefits, his wife works full time but her employer does not provide health care benefits. So for private health care coverage for himself, his wife and their teenage daughter, who are all in good health, is paying $1,200 a month……….

    That is just plain crazy.

High deductible health plan, Fred. Tell him about it. It’s not going to be $1200/month.
