Thomas Sowell provides some food for thought about the president’s upcoming speech on health care:
One plain fact should outweigh all the words of Barack Obama … He tried to rush Congress into passing a massive government takeover of the nation’s medical care before the August recess– for a program that would not take effect until 2013!
Why would he do that? Sowell concludes that Obama is trying to pull a fast one on the American people:
He wanted to get this massive government takeover of medical care passed into law before the public understood what was in it.
And why 2013? Sowell reiterates the obvious answer:
[Obama] wanted to get re-elected in 2012 before the public experienced what its actual consequences would be.
As I have asked before, would you buy a used care from Barack Obama?
