THE ADMIN COSTS OF GOVT-RUN ANYTHING

One of the myths promulgated by advocates of Obamacare is that government-run health care has lower administrative costs than private insurance. I have debunked that myth here and here.

Nonetheless, if you want a current example of the exorbitant admin costs government programs of any kind always generate, you need look no further than the cash-for-clunkers boondoggle:

Adminstrative costs to date have been $144 per rebate. That’s a lot of money for a simple car rebate, and with 690,000 to process we’re talking over $100 million to process for a program that lasted weeks.

If you are under the impression that health care reimbursement is as simple as car rebates, consult the 120,000 pages of Medicare rules and regulations that must be followed by providers.

Government is NEVER as efficient as the private sector at anything. This is why Medicare and the Postal Service are bankrupt. Obamacare will be no different.
