This was an often-heard chant at the 9-12 anti-Obamacare demonstration, and the AP suggests that it may well become a reality if the president and his congressional accomplices ignore the message:
Despite sweeping Democratic successes in the past two national elections, continuing job losses and President Barack Obama’s slipping support could lead to double-digit losses for the party in next year’s congressional races and may even threaten their House control.
Nonetheless, the Dems seem determined to pretend that opposition to a government takeover of health care is restricted to a few nutburgers and racists. They remain stuck on stupid.
So, I guess we just keep up the pressure and watch this grotesque combination of hubris and self-deception lead the Democrats to another 1994. As Dan Riehl puts it:
Enjoy watching the Lefties as their morale continues to decline going forward when the numbers don’t come back up as he’s out of step with America. And no spat around a crowd count is going to change that.
It should be a pretty good show.
