John Goodman and Linda Gorman debunk some of the numerous bogus health care studies promulgated by advocates of government-run health care:
Truth is not only the first casualty of war, it is also the first casualty of serious public policy debate.
The truth has certainly received a number of serious wounds from Families USA, Physicians for a National Healthcare Program, and the Institute of Medicine.
These outfits have claimed that many thousands of children die every year due to lack of health insurance, and that adults are dropping like flies for the same reason.
There is, of course, no evidence to support such assertions or the other implausible claims made by these groups. But that doesn’t stop the media from reporting them as fact.
Nor does it stop demagogues from using these phony studies to generate publicity for themselves and promote the looming health care disaster that is Obamacare.
