WHO’S LYING? SULLY OR SARAH’S UTERUS?

Sullivan has a piece in the Sunday Times about Sarah Palin’s book, and (Surprise!) he concludes that Alaska’s former governor is a liar:

Palin has a long and documented record of saying things that are empirically untrue but asserting them as if her own imagination is the only source of objective reality.

It would appear, however, that the lady’s uterus takes exception to this charge. Indeed, Sarah Palin’s Uterus provides a longish list of misrepresentaions made by Sully himself, including one about Palin’s reference to “Seward’s Folly”:

The oddest thing of all about Sully’s deceptive narrative is that Palin’s modest claims with regard to the “Seward’s Folly” moniker are both reasonable and well grounded in the historical record. She never claims the opposition was overwhelming - that straw man exists only in Sully’s fevered imagination.

Palin’s reproductive organ also wonders at Sully’s double standard. He scours “Going Rogue” for obscure errors about events that happened in the 19th century, but ignores brazen prevarications by the man who occupies the White House at this moment:

So you tell me: what is more “dangerous”? A private citizen “lying” about matters of great national import that occurred in the 1800s (like whether the purchase of Alaska was ever called “Seward’s Folly”)? Or a sitting president who tells whoppers all the time about public policy matters that affect us right now?

Well, my call would be that the guy living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the scarier of the two. But, hey, that’s just me (and a rapidly growing percentage of the voters).

Palin’s lies are important and it amazes me that everybody does not demand the truth.
Palin lies about everything. The bridge to no where, the plane, Walt Monegan and I could go on and on.

So you will accept palin’s lies now? Let’s say she did make it to the WH.
Do you honestly believe that she would stop her lying? Really?
Why should she? It’s fools like you that are not holding her accountable now. She will keep on lying because it suits her
What does it say about her character that she lies about everything?

So Sullivan points out MANY of her lies and you cherry-pick a trivial one? See the whole list: they really add up! http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2009/11/michelle-goldberg-gets-it.html
