In fact, every insect-born disease I've seen listed so far as a 'harbringer of global warming' has absolutely nothing to do with temperature. They are simply not a problem in the more modern parts of the world because we have learned how to control the insects and treat the diseases they spread. Things we learned back when science was used to learn stuff, and not to advance political agendas. Charles is absolutely correct.
