Howard Dean thinks the Dems are not getting the big picture. He thinks they aren’t being radical enough on reform. And when Chris Matthews argued with him on that point, Dean told him: “There’s only one crazy person around here, and I may hold up a mirror and you might seen him.” Dean is right. These people are delusional, but not for the reasons he suggests.

Am I watching this correctly? Dr. Dean seems to be using the Massachusetts Democrats are protesting against a too diluted health reform bills argument. Chris seems to be the more reasonable one here.

Yes. I did this post in a huge rush, which caused me to screw it up pretty thoroughly.
I have made changes in the verbiage that should allow people to watch the video without questioning their own (or my) sanity.
Thanks for pointing this out —— Dave
P.S. I wonder if my subconscious was resisting the idea that Matthews could actually be right about something.

Consider what the good doctor has convinced himself of: That the Massachusetts voters think that they’d get more government involvement in health care through neutering the Democrats in the Senate. My admittedly not-poll-based guess is that these voters know quite well that they’re sticking a fork in it.
