Some Dems had hoped to save Obamacare by having the House vote for the Senate bill, as is, thus avoiding the necessity of dealing with that inconvenient “41st vote.â€? However, it would appear that (even with the cooperation of flexible Democrats like Barney “Flipper” Frank) Madam Speaker can’t rustle up the votes. She puts it as follows:
In its present form without any changes I don’t think it’s possible to pass the Senate bill in the House … I don’t see the votes for it at this time.
Obamacare is dead. Time to bury the corpse and move on:
