The Obots in the establishment “news” media and the blogosphere have been gushing about the President’s “bipartisan outreach” to the GOP, as evidenced by his visit with Republicans at their annual policy retreat in Baltimore. But the whole exercise is as phony as Obama’s C-SPAN promise. Karl Rove puts it as follows:
[Obama’s] own chief lieutenant David Axelrod said the purpose of the president going to the Republican conference in Baltimore was to put the Republicans to the test, to make them ‘put up or shut up.’ That it was an attempt to depict the Republicans as obstructionists for the November election.
Here’s the video:
Obama obviously has no real intention of working with Republicans, or anyone else not willing to rubber stamp Obamacare and his other ill-conceived and destructive programs. The plan is to claim his failures are the result of GOP obstructionism in the hope that it will reduce the number of congressional seats the Dems lose in November.
