In his SOTU speech, the President claimed that Obamacare would reduce the deficit. No one paid any attention to that BS, of course, but our ears perked up when he pledged to freeze government spending for three years starting in 2011:
Spending related to our national security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will not be affected. But all other discretionary government programs will.
Today the administration released its new budget and it does contain a 3-year freeze on discretionary spending. How much difference will this spending freeze make? This video provides the answer in terms that even progressives will get:
