PPP POLL: PASSING OCARE WON’T SAVE DEMS

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have been frantically casting about for some means of passing Obamacare because they believe their base won’t show up in November if they don’t get it done.

Well, Public Policy Polling just released a new survey that strongly suggests congressional Democrats are toast no matter what they do. The voters plan to kick them to the curb.

According to the survey, Republicans are leading the Democrats 43 percent to 40 percent in the generic congressional ballot. And it gets slightly WORSE if they pass Obamacare:

Respondents were asked how they would vote if Democrats did pass their health care plan. In that instance the GOP leads 45-41.

So, the smart thing would be to put off “reform,” right? Wrong. It won’t help:

When respondents were asked how they would vote for Congress if the Democrats did not pass their health care plan the GOP level of support remained at 43%, with Democrats dropping to 38%.

In other words, Reid, Pelosi and their congressional accomplices behaved so irresponsibly last year that the voters are ready to give them the bum’s rush regardless of what they do on “reform.”

At the risk of asking some sensible questions and getting no or nonsensical answers, if the reform passes:

    - What difference do you see it making to the average income insured American?
    - What difference do you see it making to an uninsured American?
    - What difference will it make to your hospital’s growing bill for charity care?
