SENATOR STABENOW WANTS OBAMA TO ENACT “REFORM” VIA PRESIDENTIAL FIAT

It’s less and less likely that Obamacare is going to get through Congress, even with a two-step process involving all manner of procedural skulduggery, including the ”nuclear option.”

In order for that to work, the House must first pass the Senate reform bill, and the votes aren’t there. But Democrat Senator Debbie Stabenow has an app for that:

The administration can do some things without having it being done legislatively, and I’m encouraging them to do that ….

What she means is that Obama should simply enact his “reform” program by presidential fiat, through a series of executive orders and directives to HHS. Here’s the audio:

This sort of thing is why people increasingly refer to Stabenow’s faction as the “Democrat Party” rather than the “Democratic Party.” They really aren’t very big on actual democracy.

Speaking “…as somebody who spent hours and days and months on HealthCare” Stabenow has such a vested interest that it seems she cannot admit that the American people do not want this legislation, whether it is done legislatively or by executive order or by fairy godmother waving a magic wand. Spending a lot of time molding a pile of cr#p into a paperweight does not make it any less of a pile of cr#p.
