WHAT WOULD RAHM CALL THESE PEOPLE?

Even if Obamacare were still viable, and it isn’t, the public option would still be as dead as Ted Kennedy. But don’t tell that to these characters:

Senators Barbara Boxer, Jack Reed and Tom Udall have all now signed the letter pushing for a reconcilation vote on the public option … bringing the total of Senators now pushing for the vote to roughly a fourth of the Dem caucus.

No one with any sense believes the public option has a prayer, but the diehards got two more boneheads to sign their letter today:

Senators Lautenberg and Mikulski have now signed on, bringing the number to 16.

Should we be worried about this? I doubt it. The Dems haven’t shown much acumen, since Porkulus, at passing bills the President can sign.

What worries me is our side. The GOP has a long history of surrendering when on the verge of victory.  Proof? Here’s exhibit A:

Is it time for the GOP to compromise? We hold (most of) the cards, so it’d be on our terms. I think.

Sigh … OK … Let’s go through this one more time: You can’t compromise with people who aren’t acting in good faith. You just get the shaft.

Let them fume and fulminate and call the GOP “the party of no.” Because ”no” is precisely what the voters want.
