PALIN POUNDS OBAMA ON WARMIST POLICIES

Like all extremists, Warmists refuse to consider evidence that undermines their beliefs. Unfortunately, our President is one such fanatic. Today, Sarah Palin hit Obama hard on his extremism:

President Obama still seeks to create a federal office for global warming.

Sadly this plan is largely a fait accompli. For example, the imaginary health threats of global warming are being used by Obama’s Lefty-infested CDC as a pretext for expanding its powers.

Naturally, the Obama administration also wants to use Warmist hysteria as the basis of incredibly bad energy policy. And that’s where Palin focuses most of her comments:

They’re still talking about mandating their cap-and-tax plan that’s based on discredited data … The Obama administration’s environmental extremism also shows up in its aversion to oil and gas development.

And she hasn’t fallen for Obama’s phony embrace of nuclear power, pointing out that he is merely continuing the policies of the predecessor he spends so much time trashing:

And though I applaud the President’s newly declared interest in nuclear power, it should be noted that he’s merely following through on loan guarantees authorized during the prior administration.

She also points out that President Obama’s empty rhetoric on the building of new nuclear power plants isn’t reflected in his administration’s proposed budget:

Its budget inexplicably calls for cutting funding to the proposed nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada. A real nuclear energy plan requires a strategy for dealing with nuclear waste storage and recycling.

She wraps up as follows:

The man-made global warming hysteria isn’t based on sound science, and the Obama administration’s energy policy isn’t based on sound economics. If the climategate revelations teach us anything, it’s that we need to cool down the rhetoric and fire up our common sense

Yep.

Would you put no controls on CO2 emissions then?

Marc, the most common greenhouse gas is dihydrogen monoxide and it is documented as being much more deadly to people than CO2. I wonder why nobody screams about that one. Regulating your exhaled breath is silly.

Why would you have controls on CO2 emissions when there’s literally zero proof that they’re harmful?

Oh, right: you’re a liberal and know that if you can get your nose in the tent with a ’sensible’ restriction on emissions (again, that have no actual validity in science) that it’s only a matter of time before the natural tendency of bureaucracy will get you to where you want to go, if by a slightly longer road.

No reason to put controls on something that is required for life on the planet.
