The point is that the "robots from the planet Orwell" are the journalists who reported that he was "unflappable" and "smooth" during the summit. As this video makes blindingly obvious, their reporting was not merely inaccurate, it presented a <i>camera obscura</i> image of reality. Nice straw man you’ve got there, Marc, hate to see anything happen to it.

The point is that the “robots from the planet Orwell” are the journalists who reported that he was “unflappable” and “smooth” during the summit.
