In this interview Stupak says the Democrat leadership came right out and told him, “We want to pay for abortions … we think we should.â€? Stupak reminded them that “the House has spoken” on that issue. He adds that he has no intention of compromising his principles:
In this town, I guess some people roll over every five minutes on their principles and beliefs. I don’t.

Stupak still maintains that he has at least a dozen “no� votes riding on this single issue. If that’s true, the House will never vote for the Senate bill. That means no amount of procedural skulduggery can bring Obamacare back from the dead.
And, if anyone thinks it’s inappropriate for Obamacare to get impaled on this issue, Ed Morrissey points to a new Gallup poll showing that the general public is moving in an anti-abortion direction—-especially younger people.
