One of the Blue Dogs Nancy Pelosi has been trying to flip to a “yes” vote on Obamacare is Representative Jason Altmire (D - PA). This clip suggests they’re not doing so well.
Discussing complaints he’s hearing from the people in his own district, Altmire describes considerable voter discomfort with gimmicks like reconciliation and the Slaughter rule:
You wouldn’t have a formal vote on maybe the most important policy of the past 40 years … I think it’s wrong and my constituents don’t like it.
