GALLUP: MAJORITY BELIEVE DEM “REFORM” TACTICS WERE AN “ABUSE OF POWER”

An under-reported feature of Gallup’s latest round of polls shows that 53% of  Americans believe the tactics used by the Dems to pass Obamacare were an abuse of power. Here’s the survey question:

Regardless of whether you favored or opposed the health care legislation Congress passed this past week, do you think the methods Democratic leaders used to get enough votes to pass this legislation were an “abuse of power” or an “appropriate use of power” by the party that controls the majority in Congress?

The numbers that will truly curdle the blood of congressional Democrats are those which appear in the “Independents” column. A clear majority (58%) of those all-important voters think the Dems abused their power.

When that finding is combined with fact that the GOP leads in the generic congressional ballot, it means the good guys actually have a chance of taking Congress back from the grifters who now control it.

On the other hand, the GOP has a special genius for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
