Because of his refusal to listen to the voters on Obamacare, Democrat Senator Robert Menendez is the subject of a recall petition initiated by a group of New Jersey citizens. Being a typical Democrat, he asked the court system to protect him from his constituents. But last month a lower court refused to do so:
A New Jersey appellate court ruled [March 16] that the New Jersey secretary of state must accept a notice filed to recall U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez.
So now the Senator has asked the New Jersey Supreme Court to interfere with the process and thwart the public will:
Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) is asking the New Jersey Supreme Court to stop a tea party-led effort to recall him from office.
And what justification has Menendez and his minions given for his effort to prevent the citizens of New Jersey from recalling him?
Menendez and his allies have blasted the effort, with state Democratic Party Chairman John Wisniewski suggesting last month that the campaign is racially motivated.
For the Democrats, this charge has become a mystical incantation. By uttering the magic word, “racist,” they can ward off any evil spirit attempting to interfere with their relentless quest for absolute power. And, make no mistake, they include the voters in the category of “evil spirits.”
Let’s hope the New Jersey Supreme Court is impervious to the spell of this magical incantation.
