If you have still have any doubt that the President, Nancy Pelosi and congressional Democrats in general regard the voters with utter contempt, Madam Speaker’s explanation of Obamacare will eradicate it:
It’s like the back of the refrigerator. You see all these wires and the rest … All you need to know is, you open the door. The light goes on.
What to say about this? I’ll go with the words of Neo-Neocon:
What an oily, condescending, manipulative, lying piece of work she is … to use such a metaphor to refer to a bill that affects us all in such important ways is outrageously and offensively paternalistic.
That about sums it up. But I will add that I would have expected Pelosi, being a Democrat, to steer away from the refrigerator metaphor. I mean, it conjurs that whole cash-in-the-freezer image, does it not?
Well, one has to consider the source, I guess. Nancy isn’t the brightest bulb in the fridge.
