If the Democrats actually believed all that BS they were shooting about getting a bounce out of Obamacare passage, they must be pretty disappointed. According to the latest numbers from Gallup, the GOP is still ahead of them on the generic ballot:
And, as I pointed out a couple of weeks ago, this means the situation is even worse for the Democrats than it was just before their epic 1994 defeat. And that’s not all the bad news. The enthusiasm gap favors the GOP by 18 points.
This is why I was so sure the rank-and-file Dems would balk at passing Obamacare. Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi, whose jobs were never in danger, asked them to risk this very scenario in order to pass a bad bill that the voters hated.
Is it possible that they actually believed the voters would learn to love Obamacare once it was rammed down our throats? Or do they know something that Gallup, Rasmussen, et al don’t know?
