Well, actually, it was the voice-over actor who got fired:
Los Angeles actor D.C. Douglas in a press release said he was dropped from the upcoming Geico “Shocking News� campaign after leaving a message with the press shop at FreedomWorks.
In his voicemail, Douglas asks what percentage of FreedomWorks people are “mentally retarded,” and what the PR strategy will be “when one of your members does actually kill somebody.” Here’s the audio:
Like most cocktail-party progressives, Douglas has a gift for unintentional irony. I mean, what would Rahm Emanuel call a guy who includes his own telephone number when leaving such a creepy message?

Well, he *is* an actor, so you can’t expect too much. (I lived in LA for a decade, I knew a lot of actors and, man, they are *not* the brightest bulbs in the gene pool.)
