A very interesting interview with writer Andrew Klavan, who is that loneliest of all creatures—a Hollywood conservative. Talk about being a stranger in a strange land. Here’s how he describes it:
There’s a culture in Hollywood where you are a left-winger; you can speak very openly – even in business meetings. If you’re a conservative, especially a religious person, people have to meet in secret. They talk in whispers. It’s a very disturbing kind of culture.
One VERY important point he makes is that the absence of intellectual diversity is not just bad for conservatives—it is also bad for the arts. This is no doubt why so much of what they produce these days is unwatchable:
