It is the Specter of Arlen. All the powers of old media and the Beltway will enter into an unholy alliance to exorcise the demon, but it will be for naught. The following image of the President and the perfidious Pubbie symbolizes the impotence of Obama to stem the rising tide of voter discontent with the hope-n-change crowd:
Obama put the presidential prestige on the line for the treacherous Senator and then tried to buy off Specter’s primary opponent. But neither Joe Sestak nor voters of Pennsylvania were having any. Even the empty-eyed Obots at the Associated Press have been forced to admit that an endorsement by “the One” is a virtual kiss of death:
Sen. Arlen Specter became the fourth Democrat in seven months to lose a high-profile race despite the president’s active involvement, raising doubts about Obama’s ability to help fellow Democrats in this November’s elections.
That has not, of course, prevented the folks at the Ministry of Truth from spinning a single Dem win in a Democrat district (in a Democrat-controlled state) as a sign that it’s not really about O and the Dems. And some conservatives are falling for it. But it’s BS.  Obama and his congressional co-conspirators are headed for a November they WILL remember.
UPDATE:
I’m happy to see that some conservatives haven’t been so quick to fall for the Dem-MSM spin on yesterday’s elections. Laura Ingraham points out what should be blindingly obvious about PA-12:
This is a seat that has been in Democratic hands since 1974 [and] Critz also ran as a conservative: His TV ads are all about tax breaks, pro-coal and pro-jobs initiatives, supporting gun rights, opposing ObamaCare, and being pro-life.
It’s absurd to claim that this single race somehow invalidates the dominant dynamic of this election season—-voter anger at the irresponsible party in power.
