The latest Rasmussen survey confirms that the White House is getting nowhere with its attempt to sell Obamacare’s “benefits” to a skeptical electorate. And these respondents are not the feckless phonaholics featured in most MSM polls. These folks are actual voters:
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 63% of U.S. voters now favor repeal of the plan passed by congressional Democrats and signed into law by President Obama in March.
And the percentage favoring repeal is increasing:
Support for repeal of the new national health care plan has jumped to its highest level ever … Prior to today, weekly polling had shown support for repeal ranging from 54% to 58%.
Meanwhile, the number of people who favor Obamacare is shrinking. Only a small minority (25%) of likely voters strongly oppose repeal, and even smaller minorities believe the “reform” bill is good for health care in general:
Only 18% believe health care costs will indeed go down because of the plan’s passage … Twenty percent (20%) expect it to improve the quality of health care.
The President and Madam Speaker promised rank-and-file Democrats that Obamacare would grow on the public once it was passed. Perhaps they should have used the term “metastasized.”
