Having thumbed their noses at the electorate on Obamacare, congressional Democrats are now hiding from the voters. Even the NYT has noticed:
The sentiment that fueled the rage during those Congressional forums is still alive … But the opportunities for voters to openly express their displeasure … have been harder to come by in this election year.
Why? Because, now that they have “made history,” these poltroons don’t have the guts to face the wrath of their own constituents:
Of the 255 Democrats who make up the majority in the House, only a handful held town-hall-style forums as legislators spent last week at home in their districts … It was no scheduling accident.
So, how precisely are these cowards communicating with the people they allegedly represent in Washington? By conference call, of course:
Many Democrats heeded the advice of party leaders and tried to avoid unscripted question-and-answer sessions … more lawmakers are also taking part in a fast-growing trend: the telephone town meeting.
What pathetic jerks! This behavior is, in and of itself, grounds for firing these bums. Here’s hoping that the voters can hold a grudge until November.
