In his latest column Thomas Sowell explains, in a single paragraph, why the Obama recession continues unabated:
Even though some people say we are living in a “knowledge economy,” we are living in a political atmosphere in which ignorance has more power than ever.
He then explains how this affects the economy:
Washington politicians who have never run any business are telling all kinds of businesses—-from automobile companies and banks to hospitals and insurance companies—-how they have to run their businesses.
Thus, we sink deeper and deeper into economic stagnation. Sowell concludes by capturing the essence of the Obama era:
This is the golden age of ignorance in power.
Yep.

Dr. Sowell’s columns always found a place on my bulletin board for my three children to read. They are now grown and those columns are yellow with age but the wisdom they contain is ageless and my children were the better for having read them.
